Being a strong steward of Colorado’s water means getting involved. Volunteer in the Aurora Water-wise Garden or become involved with the Citizens' Water Advisory Committee. We have a lot happening.

Aurora Water-wise Garden

The Aurora Water-wise Garden is the largest garden devoted to the art and science of water-wise landscape in Colorado. Our seasonal volunteer opportunities (mid-April through mid- October) connect people with the outdoors, plants and water conservation. We offer flexible commitments for individuals and large groups. Build your skills and serve your community in caring for the Aurora Water-wise Garden. 

Citizens’ Water Advisory Commission is looking for new members.

CWAC Tour of Prairie Waters Reuse system - June 2022The Aurora Citizens’ Water Advisory Commission (CWAC) is accepting applications for three-year terms beginning in 2024.  CWAC is appointed by the Aurora City Council to provide counsel and recommendations to Aurora Water on the budget, departmental work plans, operational needs, strategic planning, long-range capital improvements, financial planning and intergovernmental relations. CWAC meeting are open to the public and are jam-packed with interesting topics.

Applications will be accepted through the end of November, and interviews will be held in December. Committee applications and previous meeting agendas can be found at here.
