Special Notice: The last day for Quincy Reservoir will be Thursday, October 31. Beginning Friday, November 1, Quincy will be closed for the season and will reopen again on March 1, 2025.

Important Update: Quincy Reservoir will be closed to all body contact water activities until further notice. Body contact water activities include paddle boarding, wading, drinking and tubing. Quincy Reservoir is still open for trail use, fishing and boating. Those wishing to bring their boat into the water are advised to wear waders and to avoid body contact with the water. 

Like any untreated, natural body of water, elevated levels of potentially toxic algae can occur. Normal activities can occur again once sampling shows that algae have normalized to a safe level. 

Quincy Reservoir boasts 160 surface acres of water that is well known by metro anglers for bass, trout, perch, and crappie. Fishing is allowed with artificial flies and lures only. This provides a different, challenging experience for anglers, while also reducing fish mortality rates and allowing better management of this unique resource.

Explore Quincy's shoreline along the 3.5 mile soft surface trail, perfect for viewing wildlife and waterfowl. A picnic table, personal boat launch area, and an accessible fishing dock are available for your enjoyment.

Water fluctuations are common and variable from season to season and year to year. Special rules and regulations are in place to protect this unique resource. Dogs and pets are prohibited.

Quincy Reservoir is open seasonally from March - October.
