Vendors who make retail sales within the city of Aurora during a temporary retail event should access the Aurora Tax Portal to remit Aurora sales taxes collected during the event. This link is not intended to be used by a business that regularly operates in Aurora and is required to have a business license.
Temporary retail event means an event where retail sales as defined in section 130-31 are made by one or more temporary retail businesses, which event occurs for a period not to exceed seven consecutive days. A common use of this link would be a vendor operating at a craft fair.
No temporary vendor may attend more than five events within any 12 month period. Businesses attending more than five events need to apply for a city of Aurora business license.
