Ways to Vote

Ballots will be mailed to active registered voters. Verify your voter registration address by visiting www.govotecolorado.gov. Ballots cannot be forwarded by the Postal Service. Check with the county you reside in for additional information regarding your ballot and specific voting locations.


Mail Ballot

Return your ballot by mail with paid postage. Ballots must be received by your county by 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Voter Registration

If you meet the state residency requirements to vote in an election, you may now register to vote up to and on election day.

If you have changed your address you will need to re-register to vote. Your new address is not automatically tracked or changed for voter registration purposes when you move. If you have changed your name through marriage, divorce or a legal name change, you need to update your voter registration records with the county clerk where you reside.

Qualifications to register to vote 
  • Be a citizen of the United States by birth or naturalization
  • Be 18 years of age or older on the date of the next election
  • Have resided in the state 22 days immediately prior to the election at which you intend to vote and be a resident of the municipality on the date you register.

No person while serving a sentence of detention or confinement in a correctional facility, jail or other location for a felony conviction, or while serving a sentence of parole, shall be eligible to register to vote or to vote in any election.
