The city of Aurora has 19 city parks with shelters that can be reserved during the months of April through mid-October (list below). Shelter reservations are accepted beginning January 1 each year. Reserving a park shelter guarantees your exclusive use of the shelter for one day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Reserving a park shelter does not give you exclusive access to the park, the playground, or other park amenities. Ball fields and softball diamonds are not included with your shelter rental. Please respect other park patrons using these public spaces.

Reservations are taken online up to seven days prior to the event.

If your event involves any of the following, please complete the Special Event Proposal:
 - Open to the public
 - Advertising event to the public
 - Selling items, charging admission or participation fees
 - Canopy larger than 20 x 20 (400sf)
 - Live music or DJ (Amplified sound only allowed at Bicentennial, General's, Lowry and Utah)
 - Event over maximum park capacity

For questions or more information, please call 303.739.7213.

All other park shelters are available on a first come, first served basis during park hours: 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Park Noise: Be Considerate
City of Aurora code (Sec. 146-1802) limits residential sound levels to 55 decibels during the day, which, for example, is the sound of a normal conversation. After 9 p.m., the level drops to 45 decibels. Please be considerate of park neighbors and other park users by keeping your music and voices to a reasonable level.
