The Aurora Line/I-225 Rail

 

Aurora Line/I-225 Rail LineThe Aurora Line/I-225 Rail is a 10.5-mile light rail line within the city of Aurora that will provide key regional connections to the East and Southeast rail lines. It is part of FasTracks, RTD's voter-approved plan passed in November 2004 to expand transit service across the Denver metro region.

The line, which includes 10 stations, will provide connectivity to major activity centers like the Aurora City Center, Anschutz Medical Campus and Denver International Airport through a transfer at Peoria to the University of Colorado A Line.

Featuring two stops in Aurora, the rail line connect theses two important areas while serving adjacent employment centers, neighborhoods and development areas in Aurora and Denver.

Transit-oriented Development (TOD)

Through public and stakeholder meetings, the city has developed plans to identify development sites and pedestrian and automobile connections,and create a vision for the overall character of Aurora's rail station areas.
