At approximately 08:08 PM, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire near the 1900 Block of N Jamaica Street. Crews were on the scene within minutes and began fire suppression efforts. AFR worked fast and efficiently to place hose lines for fire suppression, establish a water supply, complete searches for missing people or pets, and secure utilities for safety. Unfortunately, one party sustained injuries and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control and prevent further loss. At this time, no further updates are expected.
