(July 10, 2025) – The Regional Anti-Violence Enforcement Network concluded Tuesday a comprehensive investigation into violent gang activity and arrested 16 suspects tied to two metro Denver criminal street gangs.
“RAVEN and its local, state and federal partners are committed to reducing violent gun crime in the Denver metro area,” said Aurora Police Department Lt. D.J. Tisdale, who serves as commander of the RAVEN Task Force. “This case should serve as an example that our dedicated investigators will not stop pursuing those who use firearms to victimize our community until they are arrested and held accountable for their actions.”
RAVEN initiated the investigation in June 2024 after intelligence gathered from National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) – an ATF ballistic imaging technology made available to local law enforcement partners – confirmed several suspects were responsible for numerous gang-motivated shootings across the Denver metro area. Many of the suspects involved were identified as some of the most prolific violent firearm offenders in the region at the time.
RAVEN made dismantling the two gangs one of its highest operational priorities. Lead investigators from the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and Aurora Police Department worked tirelessly for a year with Organized Crime Unit prosecutors from the Denver District Attorney’s Office to investigate and document the organizations’ criminal activity, linking the gangs and its members to at least 16 violent criminal episodes, as well as numerous weapons-related offenses.
On June 18 and July 8, RAVEN investigators conducted two coordinated enforcement operations targeting key members and associates of the criminal street gangs. The operations resulted in the arrests of 16 suspects, nine of which are juveniles or were minors at the time of the crimes.
All 16 suspects have been charged in Denver District Court. The adult suspects include:
• Raijon Bass (09/05/2002)
• Quincy Johnson (11/01/2004)
• Troydell Dixon (10/05/2004)
• Denalii Marshall (08/26/2005)
• Cai-reis Curby (01/10/2005)
• Blanca DeLaTorre (05/24/1987)
• Ramekia Amerson-Bey (10/20/1980)
The suspects face a variety of charges, including violations of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act, attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, attempted first-degree assault, menacing, aggravated robbery, criminal mischief, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a handgun by a juvenile, possession of a high-capacity magazine, illegal discharge of a firearm, unlawfully providing or permitting a juvenile to possess a handgun and secure firearm storage required.
