Welcome to Park and Recreation Month!

Each July, the city of Aurora celebrates park and recreation professionals and how they improve the lives of tens of millions of people, making a lasting impact in communities across the country.

This year’s theme, via National Recreation and Park Association is “The Power of Parks and Recreation,” reminds us of the amazing individuals who make everything we do possible. Throughout the month, we’re celebrating the many ways parks and recreation reveals the power of what connects us.
