There is something for everyone this November at the Aurora History Museum, 15051 E. Alameda Parkway. From Native American storytelling to an ancient kind of “eras tour” to bidding on festive wreaths, there is plenty to discover and share.

Upcoming events and programming:

Native American Storytelling and Contemporary Music – Nov. 1

An afternoon with award-winning recording artist and member of the Assiniboine/Sioux Tribes, Red Feather Woman. Accompanied by Eric Many Winds Herrera on the flute, Red Feather Woman will blend song and oral storytelling together for a unique and engaging event. Ages 8 and older. Register online.

Prehistoric “Eras Tour” - Nov. 5, 6, 7, 8 and 12.

Learn about the millions of years of history beneath your feet from local scientists. From dinosaur diets to what fossils tell us about the ancient creatures of Colorado, all events are free and open to the public. Find a list of events and register online.

Festival of Wreaths – Nov.4 to Dec. 5

The Festival of Wreaths is an opportunity for anyone to put their work on our museum's walls. For 26 years now, the annual fundraiser features wreaths decorated by local businesses, organizations and individuals. People come from all over the metro area to see the wreaths and vote on their favorite. Proceeds from this year’s Festival of Wreaths will go toward the museum’s internship program, which provides hands-on experience and career development to students looking to get into the museum, collections and historic preservation fields.

The exhibit will run from Nov. 4 to Dec. 5. An opening reception and celebration will take place Thursday, Nov. 13. Learn more at AuroraGov.org/Wreaths.
