Crime Prevention

Crime prevention is most effective when built on trust, collaboration, and shared responsibility between the community and law enforcement. It’s not something APD can do alone, it requires active partnerships with community members, businesses, schools, and local organizations working together toward a common goal: a safer Aurora for everyone. The Community Relations Section (CRS) serves as a critical bridge between the community and the District Commanders, helping community members understand how crime is affecting their neighborhoods and how they can be part of the solution. By fostering communication, building relationships, and supporting proactive engagement, CRS empowers community members to take an active role in public safety.
