Graffiti Off Neighborhoods (GON)
The Housing and Community Services Department has a unit dedicated to removing graffiti from city neighborhoods. The presence of graffiti can make an otherwise pleasant community feel less safe or appear to have less value. By promptly removing graffiti, we send the message that our neighborhoods will not tolerate vandalism and that crime does not have a home in the area.
The GON unit works Monday through Friday during daytime hours. They will clean graffiti off residences, fences, residential garages and outbuildings. They do not clean vehicles, roll off dumpsters, portable storage pods or commercial buildings.
On highways running through Aurora, the GON unit cleans up graffiti facing city property, and the Colorado Department of Transportation cleans graffiti facing the highway.
Graffiti found in Aurora parks and open space is removed by the Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Department.
Please report all graffiti to Access Aurora online or by using the Access Aurora app on your phone – check out your app store and search for Access Aurora or scan the code with your phone. Pictures of the graffiti can be attached using either of these methods. You may also report graffiti by calling 303.739.7000 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
