MetroTrack is an auto theft deterrent program that allows the Aurora Police Department (APD) to assist in locating stolen vehicles using location data provided by the vehicle’s owner. Participants may register multiple vehicles for MetroTrack. By enrolling, you agree to share your vehicle’s location with APD in the event your vehicle is stolen. It is the owner’s responsibility to access their tracking app and provide location information to responding officers.
December 2025 Update: free tracking devices are no longer available through the Aurora Police Department. However, community members may continue to participate in the program by supplying their own tracking device. APD will continue to provide free MetroTrack window decals to help deter theft by alerting potential thieves that the vehicle is being tracked.
