
(Dec. 12, 2025) – The Aurora Police Department Robbery Investigative Unit is seeking the community’s help with information about a suspect who last month was involved in an armed robbery of a business in northwest Aurora.
The crime occurred about 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8, when the suspect entered a business in the 1400 block of Iola Street, menaced the employees with a silver revolver and demanded cash from the businesses two registers. The suspect left the store and was last seen walking northbound toward East Colfax Avenue.
The suspect is described as a Latino man, approximately 45 years old, with a heavy build and a gray mustache. On the date of the crime, he was wearing a blue beanie, sunglasses, black hoody, blue pants, one black glove, one gray glove and a black Nike backpack.
Investigators believe the suspect frequents the area of East Colfax Avenue and Havana Street. Detectives have spoken with several people in the area who are familiar with the suspect, but don’t know his name.
