
(March 5, 2025) - The Aurora Police Department Gang Robbery Investigative Team announced Wednesday it has arrested a man wanted for multiple armed robberies.
Detectives from our Gang Robbery Investigative Team (GRIT) have been relentless in their pursuit of justice, leading to the arrest of a suspect connected to multiple armed robberies. The suspect, Ross Woessner, 20, of Aurora, was taken into custody today and booked into the Aurora Detention Center. He has been arrested for aggravated robbery and menacing with a firearm, both felonies. Woessner is in custody on a $50,000 bond.
The charges stem from six different armed robberies, beginning on July 21, 2024. Of the six robberies, five of them occurred at the same Shell gas station, located at 3385 South Tower Road, and one at the 7-Eleven, located at 18883 East Hampden Avenue. The most recent robbery occurred on February 24, 2025.
Detectives followed up on numerous leads and conducted a search of Woessner's residence today, recovering property relating to the robberies.
This case will now be prosecuted by the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office.
