Woman Dies After Hit and Run Crash on E. Alameda Ave.
(December 30, 2023) – The Aurora Police Department is investigating an auto-pedestrian crash involving one unknown vehicle and a woman.
Approximately 10:30 p.m. Friday, Aurora patrol officers responded to a report of a crash near the intersection of E. Alameda Avenue and S. Fraser Court. When officers arrived, they found one adult female who passed away at the scene. The suspect vehicle did not stay on scene and left prior to police arrival.
The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will identify the deceased after identification and notification to next-of-kin.
Investigators believe that the deceased may have been a victim of a hit-and-run crash. Vehicle and driver information is not available at this time.
Anyone with any information about the driver or vehicle is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.STOP (7867). Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
The crash marks the 66th traffic-related death this year in Aurora.
