The Aurora Police Department's Training Academy is at the city of Aurora's Public Safety Training Center, located at 25950 E Quincy Avenue Aurora, CO 80016. 
The state of Colorado's Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requires 558 hours of training to be certified as a police officer.
The Aurora Police Department almost doubles the amount of required training with 1,040 hours.
