At approximately 1630, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire near the 18000 block of E Tennessee in Aurora. Crews were on the scene within minutes and found a three-story multi-family home with fire and smoke from a second-floor dwelling.
Firefighters worked quickly and efficiently to place hose lines for fire suppression. Simultaneously, other fire crews began searching for missing people and pets, establishing a water supply, and securing utilities for safety.
Firefighters on-scene have the fire under control and are working on looking for hot spots. Community members affected by the blaze did not request the Red Cross. Thankfully, no one was hurt or injured. Until the origin and cause are determined, the fire is under investigation. At this time, no further updates.
