At approximately 0925, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire near the 2200 block of S Buckley Road in Aurora. Crews were on the scene within minutes and found a two-story multi-family home with fire and smoke from a second-floor dwelling.
Firefighters worked quickly and efficiently to place hose lines for fire suppression. Simultaneously, other fire crews began searching for missing people and pets, establishing a water supply, and securing utilities for safety. Per reports from the scene, one patient had minor injuries.
Firefighters on-scene have the fire under control and are working on looking for hot spots. The fire is under investigation until the origin and cause are determined. No further updates are expected.
