Aurora Fire Rescue crews actively fought to bring a fully involved fire under control on a single-story detached garage near the intersection of 12th Avenue and Akron Street in Aurora, Colo., today. No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported at approximately 10:40 a.m. The first AFR crew arrived on-scene at 10:45 a.m. Upon seeing the fully involved fire on the garage, which was detached from a multi-family residential unit, the alarm was upgraded to a "working fire" assignment and an additional fire engine and ladder truck were called to assist in bringing the fire under control.
Crews worked to put the body of the fire out and search for any missing, hurt or trapped parties. All searches were completed and everyone was accounted for. The crews also looked for any hot spots that might remain and none were reported.
The origin and cause of the fire is not yet determined. No other information is available at this time.
