Serious accident sends four to the hospital.
At approximately 1826, Aurora Fire Rescue received a report for multi-vehicle accident near the intersection of Parker & Arapahoe Road. Multiple callers notified 911 to inform them that the accident appeared to be multiple cars.
Upon arrival fire crews found a three-car accident, with one person trapped inside a car due to damage from the accident. AFR was able to assess all patients thoroughly and accurately, and auto extrication was needed to gain access to the trapped party to free them from the wreckage.
A total of four patients were transported to area hospitals, with two patients suffering life-threatening injuries, and two patients with non-life-threatening injuries. AFR wants to thank Aurora Police for controlling traffic and creating a safe place for first responders to work, and South Metro Fire for mutual aid.
