Basement fire in single family residence is quickly brought under control by AFR crews.
At approximately 09:12 am this morning, Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to reports of a structure fire in the basement of a residence at the intersection of E Eastman Dr. & S Nepal Way. Upon arrival, crews found smoke and signs of flames coming from the basement and spreading throughout the structure. Crews quickly deployed hoses into the basement and extinguished all signs of fire throughout the structure. Multiple searches of the structure were conducted with no victims or trapped parties found and no injuries reported as a result of the fire. AFR crews remained on scene in order to search for hidden fires within the structure and conduct an investigation, no cause has been determined at this time.
