Aurora, CO -- Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in a multi-family dwelling at 16378 E. Radcliff Pl. on Friday, July 29 after 3:30 a.m.
Firefighters conducting a primary search of the residence rescued a victim from heavy fire conditions inside and immediately provided medical care. The victim was transported to the hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.
Most of the fire damage was contained to one unit and residents in adjacent homes are expected to be allowed to return to their homes soon. In total, four engine companies, four ladder companies, two ambulances, and two battalion chiefs responded to the incident.
No additional injuries were reported during the incident. Fire investigators are on scene and the cause of this fire is under investigation.
