A donation of $10,000 will be made to Aurora Fire Rescue (AFR) this week during a presentation in front of Aurora Fire Station No. 5 located at 1141 N Laredo St. The gift is being presented to the AFR leadership by ADT at a brief ceremony on Wed., May 20 in front of the city’s newly constructed facility . Representatives from ADT will be on hand to present the check to Fire Chief Fernando Gray Sr. The funds will be used by the department to provide community-focused programs for fire education and safety initiatives. This includes ongoing AFR activities such as infant/child car seat consultations, free smoke alarms and more.
“We are grateful for this gift to our department,” said Chief Gray. “This donation allows us to further our mission of creating a safe community for our residents and those who visit. We thank ADT for their generosity.”
The gift is given during EMS Week where Fire/EMS agencies, like Aurora Fire Rescue, are recognized for their life-saving contributions to their communities. Through ADT Always Cares, ADT has pledged $1M to assist over 100 nonprofits across the USA. Local ADT teams determine which charities to support with choices ranging from soup kitchens and homeless shelters to first responder organizations or other nonprofits serving those in need.
