Pay a Parking Citation
In order to pay for a parking citation, you will need to know the Citation Number located in the upper portion of the citation and the license plate of the vehicle that received the citation. There are three easy ways to pay a parking citation issued in the city of Aurora.
By Internet: Secure credit card payments can be made online.
By Mail: Make a check or money order payable to the City of Aurora. Print your name, current address, parking citation number, license plate number and state on the check or money order. DO NOT MAIL CASH. Mail to: City of Aurora Finance Department, Cashier’s Office, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, Aurora, CO 80012. Payments must be received prior to the due date to avoid additional penalties.
In Person: Visit the Aurora Cashier Office at the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to make your payment. Payments cannot be processed at the Aurora Municipal Justice Center.
Dispute a Parking Citation
All city of Aurora parking citations may be disputed with the Aurora Parking Bureau. Click here to start the process to dispute your citation. If you are having trouble completing the dispute form, call the Parking Office at 303.739.7338. The Aurora Municipal Court does not handle initial parking citation disputes.
Failure to either pay or dispute a parking citation within 20 days of issuance will result in the doubling of the original fine amount and can result in additional penalties, vehicle immobilization and collections notices.
A failure to pay or dispute three or more outstanding citations over 60 days old will result in your vehicle being immobilized, or “booted.” Booted vehicles will be released only once the boot fee and all outstanding citation fines and costs are collected.
