Congratulations to the Cast of 2024 Fall Production: Aurora Dance Arts presents "Alice in Wonderland"
We are thrilled to announce the finalized Cast List of "Alice in Wonderland." We thank you all so much for auditioning to join us down the rabbit hole, as we produce this whimsical and imaginative story to be danced to life on the Aurora Fox Arts Center stage in November. This production will bring together many age groups/levels, a variety of musical selections and myriad entrancing dance genres. We have cast for a large number of characters and scenes that are based in various styles of dance: ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and hip hop, as this production is very inclusive. This particular story was carefully selected for the large amount of wacky and wonderful characters and of course, the colorful trajectory of the story.
Please click the buttons below for all of the important information about this show. Please make sure that you check the Cast List very carefully, as some dancers are cast as more than one character/scene. Please also make sure that you check all Rehearsal/Performance Schedules very carefully, as many dancers are called to rehearsals on various days and times. And finally, please make sure to check the Preliminary Costume Fitting Day information and Performance Fees, Policies and Protocols information to understand all that is required if you accept your casting and are part of this show.
*Please strongly note that since auditions/casting, we have added an additional show on Sunday, Nov. 10. Information about that extra show is included in the posted information. Please make sure that you can commit to this and all shows before accepting your casting.
We are so proud of all of the dancers that auditioned, even the ones that we were not able to cast this year. Thank you all for your time and efforts! If you were not cast this year, please note that we had such a high number of auditionees at this particular audition, that we simply were not able to take everyone. We had close to a hundred dancers audition. Many dancers that we were not able to accept simply did not have the baseline technique or dance knowledge quite yet that is needed to be cast in this show. But we do encourage everyone to keep working hard in their dance classes and come back to wow us at auditions in the future.
For all that were cast in the show, CONGRATULATIONS! The Aurora Dance Arts Fall Productions are one of the most special opportunities in our program each year, and this show is most definitely one of our very favorites. We cannot wait to get started with all of you who have been put in the cast this year.
"We're All MAD Here!"
