Swim Beach
The swim beach is now open for recreational swimming and lifeguards are on duty Wednesday through Sunday in the summer, 10 am - 6 pm. Lifeguards will not be on duty Monday and Tuesday. Due to the drought conditions and anticipated low water levels this summer the swim beach may be affected.

Shelter Reservations for Picnics and Events

The reservation system for the picnic shelters at the Reservoir is open. Reservations for events scheduled between April 1 and September 30 can be made.

Lake View, Longs Peak and Pikes Peak shelters are now available to be rented for large groups and events on weekends this summer. (In previous years they were not available to rent on summer weekends due to parking concerns.) Please arrive by 10 am to avoid a long line coming into the park or significant entry delays due to the park reaching capacity.

Last updated: Sunday, May 31 at 5 p.m.

Playground Closure:

The playground at Aurora Reservoir is closed for repairs and upgrades. We do not have a firm date for when the playground will be reopened. We'll keep you posted.
