Population

Just over 200 people lived in Aurora in 1900, and by 1950 there were only 11,421 residents. However, after World War II, a long period of rapid growth began. Aurora experienced its most dramatic population growth in the 1970s and 1980s when it added almost 150,000 people, tripling the population of the city.

The city continues to add an average of 5,000 people each year. Thanks to this growth, Aurora has become a culturally diverse and inclusive community with a broad cultural understanding and community life.
