The city wrapped up its first open houses related to its first-ever citywide multimodal transportation master planning effort, but the deadline for providing online feedback has been extended through noon June 5.
A new 5-minute community survey also is now available online.
The city has been busy gathering information from the community for Connecting Aurora to ensure the long-range plan reflects the community's needs related to transportation and mobility.
A variety of feedback opportunities will be available at EngageAurora.org/ConnectingAurora through the end of May. Anyone who walks, drives, bikes, takes transit or rolls in Aurora is invited to provide input on challenges you face related to transportation and what you care about regarding mobility in this city. The project team is committed to reaching out to diverse voices in this effort and gathering meaningful feedback to make sure the plan reflects the community’s priorities.
Connecting Aurora will examine the city holistically to identify projects, policies, standards, and programs that will make the city's transportation systems safer, more comfortable, and more convenient for everyone. The plan will build upon the public engagement efforts of previous transportation projects and the city's commitment to inclusive public engagement.
As part of the plan development, the city is evaluating Aurora's existing transportation system, including critical safety issues, mobility and connectivity challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Additional feedback opportunities will take place as the plan develops this year and into 2025. Visit EngageAurora.org/ConnectingAurora to learn more about the project and sign up for project updates.
