Build Up Aurora Survey Deadline Sept. 30

Aurora residents now have more time to provide input on what infrastructure projects—like public safety, parks, transportation, accessibility, libraries and more—matter most to them.
The city’s Build Up Aurora Infrastructure Task Force has extended its survey deadline through Sept. 30. The survey is available at EngageAurora.org/BuildUpAurora.
The task force is seeking the community’s input and support as it explores ways to address unmet critical capital projects required to maintain existing city infrastructure and provide for our growing community’s immediate and future needs.
Safe, adequate and well-maintained infrastructure is essential for the city’s economic health and impacts Aurora’s quality of life.
Build Up Aurora started in 2023 with the city addressing a top priority of residents—transportation and roadways—by improving the condition of Aurora’s residential streets in the worst condition. That work will continue annually.
Since May, representatives with the infrastructure task force have been talking with residents and gathering feedback at in-person events throughout the summer, such as council town meetings, farmers’ markets and other community events. Residents are invited to stop by and chat with representatives at upcoming events like the Havana Street Night Market Aug. 30 and the Town Center at Aurora’s 50th anniversary “Mallapalooza” celebration Sept. 13 and 14.
Aurora residents and community leaders also are invited to request a Build Up Aurora “Meeting in a Box” to host their own small gathering to talk through questions and record input to give back to the task force. To request a “Meeting in a Box,” complete the request form at EngageAurora.org/BuildUpAurora. Availability is limited. Input must be collected and returned before Sept. 30.
The 5-minute survey will close after Sept. 30. Find out more and take the survey at EngageAurora.org/BuildUpAurora.
