At approximately 1758, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire near the 15000 block of E 12th Avenue in Aurora. Crews were on the scene within minutes and found a three-story multi-family home with fire and smoke from a third-floor dwelling.
AFR worked fast and efficiently to place hose lines for fire suppression, search for missing people and pets, establish a water supply, and secure utilities for safety. Firefighters contained the fire to a bedroom and quickly controlled it from spreading.
Thankfully, no one was hurt or injured. Until the origin and cause are determined, the fire is under investigation. At this time, no further updates.
