At approximately 1950, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire near the 1100 block of Coolidge Circle in Aurora. The homeowner who notified Aurora911 said smoke was coming from the house and that they and their family were out safely.
When fire crews arrived, they found smoke and fire in the basement and began fire suppression. Responding crews assisted with placing hose lines in service, establishing a water supply, and completing searches for missing people or pets.
Crews on-scene have the fire under control and are working on looking for hot spots and ventilating out the basement. The fire is under investigation. At this time, there are no further updates.
