Fire on S. Jebel Way Quickly Contained
Aurora firefighters contained a fire to the exterior of a home today in the eastern portion of Aurora. Crews battled windy conditions but were able to quickly bring the blaze under control and limit spread.
A 911 caller described seeing a patio or deck on fire in the back of a home in the 2500 block of S. Jebel Way just before 3 p.m. First-arriving crews from Aurora Fire Rescue described heavy smoke from the back of the home, and quickly attacked the fire to isolate it.
There were no injuries reported during the incident, all residents were able to safely evacuate. A fire investigator responded to the scene and an investigation into the cause is now underway.
