Irrigation Rebate Rules
Rebates are intended to be an incentive for existing irrigation efficiency upgrades. Brand new systems do not qualify.

• Rebates cover the price of the purchased item only; tax and labor are not included.
• Applications must be submitted within 90 days of purchase.
• Applicants are required to submit a W-9 form.
• Applicants are required to upload a photo of the installed smart irrigation controller
• Applicants are required to sign up for the Know Your Flow program.
• Outdoor water assessments are not required to receive irrigation rebates
• Water conservation rebates in the amount of $600 or more are considered taxable income by the Internal Revenue Service and participants will receive a 1099 form.

Process

• Sign up for the Know Your Flow program.
• Submit an application and necessary paperwork, including photos of installed smart irrigation controller(s), a W-9, an itemized receipt that shows the brand, model, and breakdown of material costs, labor and taxes.
• Upon approval, rebate checks may take up to eight weeks to process.

This list is not intended as an endorsement of any product. If you are interested in a controller that is not listed below, contact the Aurora Water Conservation office to verify its eligibility. Eligible smart controllers must be able to adjust both run times and watering days per week based on local weather conditions.
