In-person class

Are you ready to get started on a low-water landscape? In this hands-on class, learn the practical steps from removing sod to installing a landscape suited to Aurora’s climate. If you plan on converting your own yard, this is your class.

Held at the Aurora Water-wise Garden, located on the grounds of the Aurora Municipal Center at the corner of Chambers Avenue and Alameda Parkway.

Are you curious about a low-water landscape, but don't know where to start? Learn how to create new textures, colors and depth in your yard or garden. You'll knock your creativity into gear as we introduce the necessary foundations for creating a beautiful and functional water-wise landscape.

Walking into a garden center can be daunting, especially if you don’t know what you need. Our master gardener will share her extensive experience growing plants suited to Aurora. We’ll take you on a guided tour through the Aurora Water-wise Garden and show you our top-recommended trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses.
