The Aurora City Council welcomes public comment during regular council meetings regarding items not appearing on the agenda. Speakers must attend in-person and speak from the podium. A maximum of three (3) minutes is allotted to each speaker.

Where do the regular council meetings take place?
Council meetings take place in the Paul Tauer Aurora City Council Chamber located in the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway. Enter the building through the east doors facing Chambers Road. The doors open at 5 p.m.
How do I sign up to speak?
Individuals wishing to comment on non-agenda items must appear in-person at the Paul Tauer Aurora City Council Chamber on the day of the council meeting and complete a speaker slip. The completed speaker slip must be handed to the city clerk by 6:20 p.m.
When do I sign up to speak?
Speaker slips must be completed and handed to the city clerk between 5 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. on the day of the council meeting.
How is speaker order determined?
Once a completed speaker slip is returned to the city clerk, the speaker will be added to the speaker list in the order it was received.
Will everyone who signs up get to speak?
There is one (1) hour dedicated to public comment on non-agenda items at every regular council meeting, and each speaker is allotted a maximum of three (3) minutes to speak. Council will accommodate as many speakers as time permits.
