The city of Aurora needs your help recognizing and celebrating community volunteers who make Aurora a great place to call home. The Community Spirit Awards, which individuals, organizations and businesses can receive, are presented to those who demonstrate ongoing leadership, a commitment to volunteerism, and involvement in our community.
Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:
- City of Aurora Programs Volunteer
- City of Aurora Programs Youth Volunteer
- Community Volunteer
- Youth Community Volunteer
- Community Nonprofit Organization
- Service Member Veteran Volunteer
- Community Business Partner
- City of Aurora Employee Volunteer
Award recipients are chosen by the Aurora Volunteer Committee, which is made up of city of Aurora employees, based on community service impact, not on the number of nominations submitted for an individual or organization. More than one nominee can be recognized in each category.
Awardees will be recognized at a ceremony in the fall.
