CONGRATULATIONS TO THE OPENING AND CLOSING CASTS OF SPRING DANCE RECITALS 2024

Aurora Dance Arts is excited to announce the finalized cast lists for the 2024 Casts of the Opening and Closing Ensembles of the 2024 Spring Dance Recitals.

Please click all the buttons below that include the Cast List and Rehearsal Schedules along with additional notes and expectations. Please make sure to check both Cast Lists, as some dancers have been cast in more than one piece. Please make sure to double-check the Rehearsal Schedule to make sure that you can commit to all aspects of this performance opportunity.

Thank you to everyone who auditioned! We are very proud of everyone's efforts.

Please remember that we are on a tight schedule to create these workds, so it is preferable that dancers do not miss any rehearsals. However, if necessary, dancers are allowed 2 excused absences ONLY within the entire rehearsal period. No absences allowed for Dress Rehearsals nor Performances.

Please remember that both for the aesthetics of the show & for dancers’ health & safety, it is imperative that dancers who are involved in this show are training consistently. Attending rehearsals & not attending dance technique classes is not acceptable. Aurora Dance Arts students are allowed 2 excused absences only within the entire rehearsal period in any given technique class. And again, not missing class at all is most preferable.

After careful consideration of everything stated above, please accept or decline your part in the show by Wednesday, February 14 by calling the Dance Office at 303.326.8308 or e-mailing [email protected]. Please note that if you e-mail us to accept your role, you are also agreeing to the absence conditions stated above, and you understand that if a dancer fails to meet these conditions, the director/choreographers reserve the right to remove any dancer from any section of the show & re-cast as necessary.

When e-mailing, please state the dancer’s name, which role/s they are accepting/declining & please detail any preexisting rehearsals conflicts that you are already aware of (i.e. an already planned vacation, school conflict). Please note, excused absences include only: required school conflicts, preexisting events/trips, family events or unexpected illness and/or quarantine due to Covid-19 exposure.

Please also note that costuming is still being decided for both the Opening and Closing. Extra costuming fees may apply for dancers involved in these ensembles. If you are required to pay a fee for your dancer's costume, that costume item will be there's to keep. If you are not required to pay a costume fee, then Aurora Dance Arts will allow your child to borrow their costume items for the dress rehearsals and performances, and then you will be required to return all costume items back to ADA at the conclusion of the Recital. More information about specific costume details to be provided via e-mail in March.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2024 CAMEO SELECTIONS

Aurora Dance Arts is proud to announce the student choreography Cameos that have been selected for the 2024 Spring Dance Recitals!

The following people have been chosen to present their Cameo in either of the "Five Decades of Dance" Beg- Adv Recitals on Friday, June 7, or Saturday, June 8 in the evening, or in the “Five Decades of Dance” Pre Recital on Saturday, June 8, in the afternoon.

*Please note that after the audition process, due to casting and recital needs, your Cameo submission may have need of being placed in an alternate Recital than what you submitted for. For example, you may have submitted your Cameo for the Beg-Adv Recital, but there may have been need to cast it in the Pre Recital instead or vice versa. So please make sure to check both Cast Lists in the buttons below for the Pre and Beg-Adv Recitals.

*You will need to alert the Dance Office as soon as possible if you think that you cannot commit to the Recital in which you have been cast. Otherwise, it will be assumed that you are accepting your casting.

The Dance Office will be in contact with you about the details of your Cameo in Recital, your place in the show order, and you will be assigned an Aurora Dance Arts instructor to work with on choreographic feedback/suggestions, cleaning your piece, and allowing you some studio time to rehearse.

Thank you to everyone that auditioned! We know that it takes a lot of courage to submit a choreographic piece for adjudication. We are very proud of everyone, even though we cannot accept all Cameos. Congratulations to those who have been cast. We think that these Cameos will be a wonderful enhancement to the Pre and Beg-Adv Recitals and will serve to help inspire many of the younger dancers to keep dancing with our program!
